Our team was tasked with the full renovation and restoration of a home that was formerly a stable built over 100 years ago. The home had been converted into a very specific JR Tolkien-style country home with large grounds. While the purpose of the renovation was to restore the home with as much of its old-world charm as possible, our team and the homeowner identified areas where modernization and functional beauty could be added.

Our final renovation plan included the design/build of a modernized kitchen with high-end appliances and an island, an airy great room with a fireplace and rustic light fixture, a large bedroom, functional office and, later, a master suite overhaul. Across our plan, we brought in modern elements that deliver an antique feel, including coffered beams, wainscot paneling, high vaulted ceilings and wide plank flooring. Fully modernized heating and cooling systems and foam insulation help bring the infrastructure up to today’s standards.  Rounding out the home are professional stairway and balustrade construction done by our team, prioritizing old-fashioned care and old-world style with custom woodwork and majestic masonry.
